GRACE POTTER AND THE NOCTURNALS AT RECHER THEATRE

Succumb to the sultry, Southern-infused sounds of Vermont natives Grace Potter and the Nocturnals when the band performs at Recher Theatre in Towson tomorrow night. Last month, Potter debuted a stunning solo cover of My Morning Jacket's "Golden" in Montreal. Maybe she'll get the full band to join her this time around.

INFO: Tickets cost $16 today, $18 tomorrow. Doors open at 8 p.m.

MARTIN SEXTON AT BIRCHMERE

Martin Sexton has long championed the blues-style guitar technique, plucking basslines with his thumb and strumming or picking with his fingers. His vocal range and songs span genres, but he mostly sticks to American roots music, making him perfect for the Alexandria venue's dinner theater-style show.

INFO: Tickets cost $35. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.

WIRE AT 9:30 CLUB

It's been one of those epic indie weeks at 9:30 Club, with sold-out shows from Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Hot Chip and Of Montreal. Girl Talk performs tonight for another sold-out 9:30 Club crowd, but there's still one great show with tickets available at the V-Street venue: English post-punk rockers Wire. The band's influence is more evident in Britain than in the U.S. - especially in regard to Britpop - but the aging rockers will perform at 9:30 on Saturday.

INFO: Tickets cost $25. Doors open at 7 p.m.
