The Terrapin wrestling team was upset in its first dual meet of the season Sunday, falling 21-15 to Lehigh.
The No. 17-ranked Terps (1-2-1) led the Mountain Hawks (1-0) 6-3 early on, but the Mountain Hawks won five of the last seven matches to win the meet.
No. 2-ranked Hudson Taylor recorded his second pin of the season for the Terps in the 197-pound weight class to cut the Mountain Hawks' lead to 18-15 with one match remaining, but Patrick Gilmore lost a 5-3 decision in the heavyweight match and the Terps came up short.
Steven Bell, Alex Krom and Kyle John all recorded individual wins for the Terps in the 133-pound, 141-pound and 157-pound weight classes, respectively, but it was not enough to give the Terps the win.
Bell, the No. 12-ranked wrestler in the 133-pound class, defeated No. 20-ranked Eric Fisk in one of two matches between nationally-ranked opponents.
No. 14-ranked Eric Medina fell for the Terps in the 149-pound weight class in a close decision against No. 15 Trevor Chinn.
Lehigh is coached by Pat Santoro, who coached the Terps the previous five seasons, and who won the ACC championship with the Terps last season.
The Mountain Hawks now lead the all-time series between the teams 13-3-1.
The Terps are not scheduled to compete in another dual meet until the Northeast Duals on Nov. 29.
They will compete in the East Stroudsburg Open on Saturday.
