Outside hitter Ashleigh Crutcher and middle blocker Adreené Elliott have been named to the 2013 Preseason All-ACC Team.

Crutcher’s 443 kills last season ranked second in the ACC and were the sixth most in school history. The junior was named to the All-ACC team and took home AVCA All-East Region honorable mention honors.

Elliott, a member of the 2011 ACC All-Freshman team, converted 36.3 percent of her attacks to finish fourth in the conference. She is hitting .310 for her career. Elliott’s 119 blocks led the Terps last season.

The team was predicted to finish tenth in the conference by the league’s 15 coaches, receiving 81 points.

Coach Tim Horsmon’s squad will open the regular season Friday at George Washington in the GW/Nike Invitational.
