Senior staff writer and men's basketball beat writer Stephen Whyno breaks down the changes he has made in today's bracket update. The Diamondbracket will be updated daily until Selection Sunday. Please feel free to e-mail your thoughts or questions to whynodbk@gmail.com.
1) Got the Terps as a No. 4 seed in Buffalo again, as the win over N.C. State wasn't shocking and teams seeded around them didn't fluctuate too much. To earn a No. 3 seed or better in the real bracket, the Terps will need to beat at least Miami and Boston College. A win over North Carolina in the ACC tourney semifinals could mean a No. 2 seed - and a short drive to Winston-Salem, N.C. for the first couple of rounds.
2) It was just another wacky weekend in the ACC. Virginia loses to Wake Forest, Clemson knocks off Virginia Tech and North Carolina is scary again. Because of all that, I've got the Tigers in - but they'll probably need to beat Florida State Thursday to make it. (Yes, Florida State could get in with a win, too.)
3) Florida beat Kentucky Sunday and now it's a No. 1 again. Yes, I'm fickle, so Florida could be back down by, I don't know, the middle of the week. Still, you gotta love watching Joakim Noah and Al Horford when they're playing well. Kansas is the No. 1 overall seed, as the Jayhawks' win against Texas was pretty impressive.
