BREAKING NEWS: Man attacks student in possible kidnapping attempt
Brady Holt
A man attacked a female student in Lot 1 Wednesday night in a possible kidnapping attempt, police said.
According to a crime alert sent by University Police Thursday, a man drove up alongside the student as she walked past the construction site of the future journalism building in Lot 1B near Tawes Theater at 9:30 p.m. The driver, approximately 40 to 50 years old, opened the passenger-side door of his car and asked the student to get in.
When she kept walking, the man parked his car on Campus Drive, grabbed the student and again told her to get into his car. The student ran away and the suspect then drove off in his car, which the crime alert tentatively identified as a dark-colored recent-model Toyota Corolla.
Although University Police distributed an e-mail crime alert, they did not send out a text-message alert for the attack. University Police spokesman Paul Dillon could not be reached for comment Thursday evening.

Looking back, the prospective-student visit days never quite captured the quality of this fine area.
And thank you Diamondback for your usual, inadequate reporting. (Continued…)

...well said iggs! Gee...I wonder why they "really" failed to give a proper description? It seems like such a logical idea! But...there I go, using that "logical" word again, and in a college setting, no less!

Shocker. The suspect is black!

It really is unacceptable for a description of the man to not be included in the article. Or if you didn't have it when the article was written, it should have said so. (Continued…)

Holt did not include the discription of the suspect because it is not politically correct to include such information when the suspect is black.
