Finally getting around to buying textbooks for your courses? Try mixing and matching from these sources to get the best prices:

University Book Center, Stamp Student Union

The university's official book store has new and used books and offers rentals.

Bookholders.com

Visit online, or go to their new location on Route 1 next to Bagel Place and Five Guys.

Maryland Book Exchange

Located at the corner of Route 1 and College Avenue, its basement is full of new and used books, and the rest of the store is stocked with Terps gear that's cheaper than a lot of the sportswear on sale in Stamp.

Amazon.com

Check out the Internet bookselling giant for new and used textbooks; keep an eye out to make sure you're getting the right edition. Even better: Ask your teacher if an older (and much cheaper) edition will do the job.

Half.com

eBay's fixed-price website features its "textbook superstore" on the front page and many times has used books cheaper than the other stores.
