Homecoming weekend kicked off last night with a show by comedians Kevin Nealon and Russell Peters, who packed a crowd of more than 7,500 into a sold-out Cole Field House.
The event, co-sponsored by the Indian Student Union, became more popular than Student Entertainment Events had planned, said SEE Comedy Director Michael Criscuolo. The hype surrounding the two comedians increased the original amount of allotted tickets from 6,000 to 7,500, added Criscuolo.
“We actually had to move the stage back,” he said.
Peters is known for his Showtime special Red, White, and Brown. Nealon can be seen on the popular Showtime series Weeds and his Showtime comedy special, Now Hear Me Out.
