Dominic Alonzo Amos, 21, of Suitland, has been identified as the second suspect in Thursday's on-campus armed robbery near Cecil Hall, police said.

Police are actively seeking his arrest and have charged Amos with armed robbery, first degree assault, theft less than $1,000 value, dangerous weapon with intent to injure, stealing a credit card and charging more than $500 to that credit card in relation to last week's incident, said University Police Capt. Bob Mueck.

According to the university directory, Amos is not a student at this university.

Amos is wanted in conjunction with Thursday's on-campus armed robbery — the first in exactly a year — in which he and another man allegedly displayed a knife to a 19-year-old university student and demanded his property, police said.

The student complied and was not hurt, University Police spokesman Capt. Marc Limansky said last week.

According to official court documents, Amos has previously been charged with fourth degree burglary, three counts of robbery, two counts of attempted robbery, three counts of second degree assault, two counts of theft less than $100, five counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of trespassing, disorderly conduct and theft less than $500.

Isaiah Graham, 21, of Riverdale, has also been charged with Thursday's on-campus robbery and was arrested Thursday night in Washington on unrelated charges.

"We're showing the community that we're taking this seriously," Mueck said.
