Army Athletics Director Kevin Anderson is expected to be named the university's athletics director, according to media reports.

Anderson, who has led the Black Knights' athletics program since 2004, is expected to be formally announced later this week.

Connecticut Athletics Director Jeff Hathaway and Buffalo Athletics Director Warde Manuel were also candidates for the position, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Anderson's hire fills the post vacated by Debbie Yow, who left the university to take the same post at N.C. State in late June. Randy Eaton has since served as interim athletics director.
