Safety Titus Till started several games this season as a freshman before losing his job to A.J. Hendy.

In light of apparent unrest within the Terrapins football team after coach Randy Edsall's first season, many believed this offseason would bring with it a slew of transfers.

Just 10 days after the Terps dropped their final game of the season, the exodus has grown to include six players. The Terps announced yesterday that safety Titus Till, running back Jeremiah Wilson and fullback Rahsaan Moore have been released from their scholarships and will leave this university at the end of the semester.

The three redshirt freshmen join defensive end David Mackall, running back D.J. Adams and offensive lineman R.J. Dill as the first to leave the program this offseason. Thirteen players with eligibility remaining also did not return to the team before the beginning of this season.

Till, an Upper Marlboro native, started six games after safety Matt Robinson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury and finished the season with 47 tackles. He was replaced in the starting lineup by true freshman A.J. Hendy for the final three games of the season.

Wilson, a former defensive back, spent much of the season as the team's third-down back, appearing in all 12 games but rushing for just 16 yards on five carries.

Moore started the season as starting fullback Tyler Cierski's backup but never appeared in a game and was suspended indefinitely on Oct. 12 for a violation of university policy.

The moves leave the Terps dangerously thin at running back heading into next season. With Adams and Wilson transferring and running back Davin Meggett set to graduate, true freshman Justus Pickett (274 rushing yards) is the lone holdover from this season's depth chart.

"We appreciate the effort of all three of these young men and wish them nothing but the best in their future endeavors," Edsall said in a release yesterday.

Till, Wilson and Moore could not be reached for comment.
